What data do I collect?
Cathjex.com does not routinely collect any personal data from its uses. However, some users may voluntarily provide the following data:
- Email address, of users who voluntarily sign up to receive newsletters or notification of new articles.

How do I collect your data?
You directly provide cathjex.com with most of the data we collect. I collect data and process data when you:
- Voluntarily complete a survey or provide feedback/contact me via email.
- Voluntarily sign up to receive a newsletter or updates of new articles.
CathJex.com may also receive your (non-personal) data indirectly from the following sources:
- Google Analytics (when you use or view my website via your browser’s cookies)
How will I use your data?
Cathjex.com collects your data so that I can:
- Respond to any email received from you.
- To send newsletters or updates of new articles.
- To understand sources and nature of site traffic via Google Analytics (non-personal) data.
How do I store your data?
Cathjex.com securely stores your data (name and email address) if voluntarily provided, via the third party webmail service (mailer lite; see below), and as part of the Google Analytics account associated with this website (non-personal data).
After receiving an email from you, I will keep your data (i.e. any data provided as part of the email — your email address, name, email content) for 30 days. Once this time period has expired, I will delete your data by deleting the email. If I need to keep the email content, I will save it as a word file (or similar) ensuring to remove any personal data provided (name, address, email address, phone number, etc.).
For those who sign up to receive webmail newsletters/updates, cathjex.com will keep your data (name and email address) for as long as you are signed up to receive emails. Should a user wish to stop receiving these emails, their email address will be deleted from the third party webmail account no later than 30 days after receiving such a request.
Google Analytics does not collect any personal data. However, the traffic data collected will be kept for as long as cathjex.com remains active. Should the site become inactive (deleted or archived), I will endeavour to delete the Google Analytics account associated with cathjex.com.
We use MailerLite to manage our email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to our subscribers. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which may process your data using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each newsletter.
What are your data protection rights?
Cathjex.com would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request cathjex.com for copies of your personal data. I may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that cathjex.com correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request cathjex.com complete the information you believe is incomplete.
